Neck pain – neck syndrome
The neck consists of 7 vertebrae and is supported by a set of muscles, ligaments, nerves and blood vessels that ensure its proper functioning.
WHAT CAUSES NECK PAIN?
Neck pain can come from a muscle spasm, an injury, instability due to weakness, or from some mechanical cause such as a hernia or poor posture. Quite often it can be multifactorial.
Sometimes cervical syndrome is not only responsible for neck pain but often we encounter symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, pain in the shoulders, back or arms, numbness.
Proper evaluation and differential diagnosis in case of other concomitant problems play an important role
WHAT DO WE ACHIEVE WITH PHYSICAL THERAPY?
- Relieve pain and other symptoms
- To correct the cause that causes it (repair of an injury, relaxation of the muscle spasm, correction of the mechanical damage)
- To slow down the recurrence of symptoms and to maintain the proper functioning of the cervical spine in motor and dynamic level
WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT OUR TREATMENT?
By combining the physiotherapy with the manual therapy and the therapeutic exercise, we achieve the best possible result!
Therapeutic exercise and the right guidance on what the patient needs to correct himself and how to maintain the result of his treatment, have an important role in the rehabilitation and treatment of this painful syndrome.
